What a great stay, great restaurant, great hospitality, especially the little van, surrounded by nature, the best walk by the creek seeing the platypus and other wildlife. The local 2 curlews are amazing. Thanks Nick for everything. The food was great, staff were great, the accommodation was awesome. Better than sleeping in my carI will be back, and here to tell everyone they must visit. Wish I had a longer visit. Thanks again

Amazing place and really good food for sure the best restaurant in tablelands ....I wanted to respond to the review made to Mr. Gigi. I've known him for a long time and I can say that he is truly one of the best people I have ever met always kind happy and polite. The only thing is that he has Italian origins and for this reason he tends to speak aloud and move the hands just like all italian do. this explains why he seems always fighting against someone, but in the end this is a characteristic of all Italians 5 star for him and the amazing place

We loved our dinner at Nick's restaurant. The food was A1 class. Our waiter was superb. Thank you so much

Came with family who had highly recommended this place. From the beginning we were met with confusion and disorganisation as the waitress was unable to find our reserved table. When saying we had booked at Nicks she ushered us to the back of the restaurant and left us. We had to pull the kitchen hand out to get some sort of direction. He sent us back to the entrance of the building and we were told we were at Nicks but the name had changed. We were then seated. We watched as the confusion mounted. There was no direction, the 2 girls on the floor had no idea what was going on. The phone rang for 30 minutes flat before they must have turned it off because no one could answer it. From ordering to meals on table took over an hour and we were the second reservation for the evening. We watched one customer begin helping himself to drinks from the fridge because table service was non existent. The only person who looked like they had any customer service skills was the chef who turned out to be the new owner. I will say the food was nice once we got it albeit pretty rushed. Sizes were extreme... as a new business owner I would seriously review your GP on each item. You’re throwing money away here. Offering takeaway containers to every diner because they can’t finish their meals further adds to the loss. Overall the owner needs to step out of the kitchen and manage the floor staff or hire yourself a floor manager. 1-2 additional floor staff wouldn’t have gone astray... I would have had a few more drinks if the service was there. Judging by other reviews this isn’t a one off either. The place has a lot of potential but needs a lot more management and organisation. Good luck in the future.

Excellent pizza! Homemade bases, fresh toppings. Almost as good as the pizzas in Naples.

Heard about good reviews of this place, been there but it was closed from Mon - Wed they were only open for Thu - Sunday due to COVID 19. We get to see the place around, its beautifully decorated with true Italian antique stuff we loved the environment.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I booked 2 weeks in advance via the website, called on the day to double check the booking to find that the website was not working and had been under maintenance (even though the lady on the other end of the phone could see my booking and confirmed my name and number...). After resolving this on the phone with Nick's we arrived to waiters that were visibly confused whether or not we had a booking, though they gave us a free table at 7:30. Thinking that the worst was over we waited for over 30 minutes for entree's to then see a couple after us being served. Our waiter then came by to say that the paper on the order roll was out which was why our meal was delayed, and offered us a complimentary glass of wine. We finally got an entree but as it was nearing 9pm and we hadn't yet gotten our mains and decided that we just wanted to go to our AirB&B in Yungaburra. We asked for our mains to be put in a takeaway box so we could take it home and we left at about 9:10 after a terrible night of 'service'. Now eating a cold meal back at the AirB&B with barely cooked vegetables for 107 for both meals .... TRULY DISAPPOINTED as I had been here as a child and teenager and had fond memories. I had heard from family friends in the area that the service had gone downhill since then, but I was still optimistic - clearly they were right. Would not rush to go back to Nick's.

Nick's was one of the highlights of my trip to the Atherton Tablelands. The food was delicious and well presented, the ambience was welcoming, and the bartender/waiter Joseph was very knowledgeable about all the menu items. I also highly recommend asking him to suggest a cocktail to you. He has such an extensive variety of recipes, in addition to the ones in the menu - you won't be disappointed.
