We had a nice evening hike at the upper macatawa natural area! Lots of wildflowers and wildlife. The meadow part is the land of frogs and crickets! The park is well used but not overcrowded. My husband also loves mountain biking here!

Wonderful place to walk or ride bike. Several mountain bike trails popular with biking enthusiasts. Went on a beautiful day, early December, no snow and the park was busy. Great place for bird watching, including viewing area with benches. Several paved paths, grassy paths in the low areas can be quite muddy in the spring or after rain

Great mountain bike trails and beautiful scenery. Nice wide, long paved trails for walking and natural trails along the river, too.

Upper Macatawa Natural Area is a great spot to skin your knees or in my sons case, your face. Needless to say, my son found a hill with his scooter, went full speed down as fast as he could go then his big bro stopped, he did a complete flip over his big bro and landed on his face. That's one way to stop. Without Upper Macatawa Natural Area we wouldn't have this wonderful story to tell how he flipped over his bro. Parking is nice Paths are nice Busy place, word gets around If you like to bike off the paths they have those here too. Check it out, it is worth your time
