A small square about 2 blocks away from the main square commomeorating the independence of Gran Colombia and its successor states. The flags tell a story and it is hard to imagine how the history of Latin America would have shaped up had these nations were together.

Cool plaza to hang out in and relax
Although it feels like it has seen better times, this square is still a nice place to visit when in Zipaquirá. It is in a great location, and also surrounded by nice restaurants and coffe shops. What I liked the most is the story behind this square and that it simbolizes South America indepence from Spain. Definitly a must vist if you are intrested in knowing a little history
Beautiful plaza, Also named Plaza Mayor and Plaza Gonzalez Forero, it is called Los Comuneros Plaza because this is where the Comuneros Agreement took place in 1781. Surrounded by colonial and republican style houses, the plaza was cobblestoned in 1823, and in 1938 it was remodeled. The Ministry of Culture authorized in 2003 its transformation into an open plaza.
Beautiful colonial style hotel. Perfect location, nice staff, good rooms with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Everything was really clean. The pool is really nice and they have a nice menu with a variety of choices (including vegetarian) and some nice cocktails. Included breakfast was nice too. With bread and eggs of your choice and three different drinks.
The food is really good crepes and waffles all kind and ice cream as well
Ok
Simple, beautiful and safer tha other downtown areas. It's still a place you should look out for your security, like most of Bogot'as the downtown area. It doesn't have a particular fountain or sculpture in the middle of the plaza, which I find particular for a South American main square, but the old buildings are nice and very historic. The little town nearby, called La Candelaria, is very nice for walking and eating.
