Great zoo for the kids. Lots if variety. Built on the side of a hill so lots if uphill trails but plenty of tree coverage to provide shade and lots of seats to take a rest and watch the animals. Can get up close with many of the animals by going in their enclosures - in with the lemurs is cool. Petting area too with small animals for the kids to get up close and stroke. An afternoon well spent.

Fantastic reserve. Very peaceful when we visited and great to see dedication towards the future of rare species. Highly recommend visiting. Its on a hill but easy to navigate as you spend lots of time watching the animals between each section.

Scenery is beautiful, park is great for nature lovers and staff very friendly and helpful. Accessibility is tough with young children so prepare for that, extreme inclined in places

Great for kids and lots of exploring to be done. It's on a hill so not suitable for buggies

A tranquil haven on the hillside. A highly unusual \zoo\, that is more like a nature reserve. The animals have large enclosures, many of which are actually open. Very family friendly. My kids aged 9 and 3 loved the animals. The animals were well fed and looked after. Some of the animals we were able to walk through and one monkey even showed us around. Some highly unusual animals like wolf, walabees, baby leopard, tamarin monkey ,tapirs. All the animals seemed very content which is perhaps the best compliment you can pay a zoo. The cafe did fresh local organic apple juice. There is also a free mini farm with rabbit's, chickens and Billy goat's, which might be a new addition. When we got are tickets they gave us a voting token for their next conservation project to save wild animals. You then felt involved and included which was nice. Thoroughly recommended.
