Zvara Flooring went the extra mile to mix stain for a new hardwood stairway to match our current adjacent floors. Their installation of stairs and landing was impeccable, on time, fairly priced with a beautiful finished product. This family-owned business couldn’t have been more pleasant at every step of the way and we would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I was and am still delighted with the work Zvara did on my floors almost two years ago (yes, this review is well over due!). I bought a home with beautiful hardwoods in most of the house, but with about 500 sq ft of carpet in the back two rooms (from a carport conversion). When Peter came to my house, he was the only 1 of 4 floor specialist that knew my floor was red and white short board mixed oak (he was even able to give me a little history lesson on why the flooring was so popular in the midcentury). Peter was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. He also gave me options for my staircase but was not pushy at all. When the work began, his son came to my house with a crew of about 2-3, all of whom where incredibly clean and respectful. They ripped up all the carpet and had the flooring completely laid in 1 day!!! The second day they came back and did the finishing touches (top coat and put baseboards back on). I was able to walk on my floor by 6:00 pm and move the furniture back within 24 hours. While not the cheapest option, their bid was competitive with the others who told me I only had only short white oak boards. In addition, the other contractors also wanted to lay a subfloor which was not necessary. I felt the extra was totally worth the knowledge Peter brought and the confidence he would match my floors as closely as possible. My floors turned out perfect! My additional space no longer looks like an add-on and my guest cannot believe the flooring in not original to the house. I cannot say enough good things or recommend Zvara enough! Thank you.

We had a great experience with Zvara. We decided to pull the carpets out of our living and family rooms, hallway, and stairs. We had an existing hardwood entry and kitchen that they feathered into with new then sanded and refinished the whole area. You can’t be even tell what’s new wood and what’s 25 years old. It’s been months and we’re still very happy.

Would absolutely not recommend this company. When I've called this company in regards to the quote on the project - the owner Joey was rude and unpleasant acting as a King of the hardwood floor business in the world and was offended by the question in regards to the \estimated quote on project\ and referred to the Home depot type of business for this and just hanged up. So unprofessional and disrespectful, obnoxious behaviors. Ughh

Would absolutely not recommend this company. Joey was pleasant and nice to talk to when he came over to measure our space. We were very clear with what we wanted, and what our budget was, and were pleased with the rough estimate when he came to measure. 6 weeks later and still not a bid sent, despite the multiple times I communicated with him. Our in-person rough quote doubled in price after 4 weeks. At the 4 week mark, we spoke on the phone when I was shocked at the doubled rate, and he said he'd get us a bid sometime that following week. Still nothing, or any further contact since. Incredibly unprofessional to leave a prospective client hanging. In my opinion, he didn't actually want to do our small job (we only had about 800 square feet we needed done) and just wants to hold out for a larger, higher paying job. Such a disappointment.
