Food is good, the location is nice with the view of the cathedral, but the beer is not as good as I would expect from a small brewery.

This place has a nice atmosphere. The outside seating during summer nights is a great place to catch up with some friends in a relaxed environment. Good variety of beer and a nice selection of traditional food. The inside has a beautiful array of colours and decor - very homely.

Having arrived after a long journey to Zwickau; we went out for a meal and received a very pleasant and warm welcome. The food was great. The special bread was superb. Lovely as well as very relaxing.

Try goulash here - it is great, however, like the beer brewed here.

Set in an old monastery building close to the cathedral, the entrance takes you through timbered rooms, once through you enter the brew house, a very smart new build that's been decorated in a traditional style with the brew kit on show (the brewer was preparing to brew the Helles while we we're there). We were greeted by our server who was a cheery lady. We ordered our drinks, which for me was the tasting board of the three main beers: helles, hefeweizen and dunkel. Our food order was taken as the drinks arrived, I ordered the "Braumeister" a panéd pork steak filled with cheese and ham. The other half ordered roast pork, sauerkraut and dumplings. There was a small wait for the food, but nothing more than expected. The beers were good and the food was very tasty, service was cheery and helpful and the prices were very reasonable. Well worth a visit when in the area.
