Nice museum about historical life in past in Norway. I think is more beautiful in summer, but even in winter is nice place to walk around.

It is oneof the most underrated museums in Norway. With people's history, houses and objects from local region, Sunnmøre, you fell you are traveling in time and feel part of the life several hundreds years ago. Also the museum is located on s very nice natural landscape which offers a nice recreational opportunity of you are not into museum. Additionally it is by the medieval history museum and you get chance to see interesting life style of medieval people

Beautiful indoor and outdoor museum. Exhibition on earlier viking life as well as farming and eventual urbanization of Sunnmore. Outdoor museum has buildings from the 1700 and 1800s. Amazing views, fresh air, and history. Good stop for old and young alike.

The perfect place for relaxing walk or walk with children. Maybe open a bit too short as for the summer season (exhibitions to 4 pm), but worth to see, especially for those interested in history and boats. Family ticket (23) - 170 NOK, of course you can have a walk for free if you do not enter any buildings and museum exhibitions.

We came to Ålesund for the day on a cruise., but because we thought that the town of Alesund was a little underwhelming we looked for something to do elsewhere. My wife read about the Sumore open air museum on a leaflet so we decided we had nothing to lose and got the bus there. 10 minutes from the port and you are there. It is a lovely place and well worth a visit if you get the chance.
