A Must see when you visit Portugal ! If you enjoy Obidos this is even better! Breathtaking views a d the castle is in pristine condition of restoration. One 9f my favorite stops so far in Portugal
Stunning hilltop village with the most magical views
Fantastic medieval walled village and castle. The roads are made from slate and the streets have charming stores. A number of small restaurants dot the village snd the church is in good condition. The setting on a hill that can be seen from many km away and the views from Monsaraz Castle walls are special.
Extraordinary place perched above dry landscape. Castle and cottages, all well preserved, good services but restaurants need to be booked ahead.
Amazing ... Portugal is an undiscovered gem with as much history and beauty as anywhere we have been. Spend the time looking at the hill towns. Just beautiful.
