For tent cabins, this place is pretty great. Cabins are cozy, but clean and have kitchenettes. Loses a star for limited knowledge by the receptionist and for the mediocre Swedish table/continental breakfast

Fantastic place. Worth the trip. This cosy camping has cabins and place for tens and caravans, they also serve good food and have a very nice old school bar that serves local Tya beer on tap. It is located at the \gate\ to Jotunheimen national park, so this is a mekka for trekking, cycling, fishing and hunting. The people that run this place are outstanding people with excellent knowledge about all local things.

Very nice campsite. It's situated in a valley from where you've acces to some trails into the great mountains nearby. You can choose to go for a dayhike to the Vettisfossen waterfall for example, or, like we did, go into the mountains for a several day hike. Close to the city of Ovre Ardal, where you can buy almost everything you need for fishing, hiking and other activities. The village's supermarket is also wel equipped. The owner of the campsite, Kristoffer, is an very kind and helpful guy. He can provide information about almost everything you can do in the area nearby. I'm pretty sure he will help you with all your questions. At the campsite, you can also order meals, have a bbq or just sit down onder the set-up tent the campingowner provides for backpackers and other guests. Toilets and showers are simple but clean and, not insignificant, it provides you a nice hot shower. The surrounding area is great, and makes you feel like a tiny human in a big and beautiful area surrounding you. I couldn't bring my fishing gear on my backpacktrip, but people we met at the campsite caught really nice big salmons. If you go to Norway, you really have to go here!

Vi hadde et helt fantastisk opphold på Svalheim gård! Betjeningen var kjempehyggelige og behjelpelige. Her var det felles stue, spisestue og kjøkken alle kunne bruke som de ville! I tillegg til baren hvor en betjente seg selv og vippset som betaling. Vi bodde på et av dobbeltrommene i det godt bevarte og fantastisk hyggelige hovedhuset! Alt i alt, et fantastisk sted vi garantert kommer tilbake til, og sterkt anbefaler videre:)
