Really nice theater, beautiful shows, nice cafeteria !
like
Outstanding Theater. An architectual pearl. The ballet is fantastic. It's a must!
Looks great both from the outside and inside
There are many amazing plays of different kind (opera, musical, ballet, ets.) and the actors are very good , the orchestra is good too. The building is big , and has places to drink and eat a bar and a restaurant, in general it's well managed and taken cared of . If you feel lost at the beginning because of the many doors and stairs just ask the staff of the theatre and they will help, they are placed around the theatre to help anyone. The cloakroom is on the first floor. Then stairs to take you to different segments of the theatre (according to the ticket you have) ,the balcony is good with first to the 4-5 aisle it's is recommended to get a place in the \amfiteatr\ it's not too close or far away. The programs change every some time (they set plays for every 2 months) to get the information is really easy either by the Internet on the theatres web page or you can ask to get a brochure of the program for the 2 months and buy a ticket to the play you want , then enjoy the show .
Lodz Ballet Festival is a contemporary and classical dance festival in May. It brings big names and lesser known artist to town(Khan, Sylvie Gulliem, English National Ballet and many more). Well worth planning ahead to secure tickets.
Really old style hotel but great atmosphere.
Nice place!
Grand theatre is definitely the one that is worth to visit in Lodz. I totally recommend it to everyone who is visiting this city.
