Its one of the best museums in Riga. Really glad i went there. A memorial for a family that helped others in need by risking their own lifes. The concept, architecture and also the receiption of history are quite modern. Free of admission, but i hope people donate enough so they can continue their great work.

Worthwhile to take time to visit an out of the way place with a significant impact. Not flashy, across the River in a quiet neighborhood, but this is where courage lived out the call to lay down your life for others. Take time to step away from the popular and easily located spots in Riga and visit this side street across the River.
Very interesting museum about a family that helped Jewish people escape the Holocaust, as well as dissidents during Nazi and Soviet regimes. The architecture is very interesting, showcasing several themes in the story, and the entrance and audioguide are free. Staff was amazing. Since Latvia became known as a collaborator to the Nazi regime, this museum was built trying to show the other side of the story, that of resistance and solidarity. Good place to go while in Riga.
Gripping history and architecture. A must-see in Riga
A small museum. Well designed and laid out with interesting history on the Lipke family. Worth visiting.
The best Holocaust museum I've ever been to as a holocaust historian. The memorial museum is a fascinating mixture of storytelling through alternate narratives. While some may complain the focus is taken off of Jewish stories, I would argue that understanding about the entirety of Jewish holocaust experiences makes it integral to look at the various different perspectives in the context of the Holocaust. In this way it is both a holocaust story, a national Latvian story, and the story of a man whose integrity, character, and impact are worthy of commemoration and emulation. No matter why you come to this museum, and from what background you have, different aspects of Žanis' story could speak to you. I'm very thankful to be able to experience the museum for myself, because it truly is an experience and not only a source of information and education. Beautiful architecture, symbolic with both its implementation and it's message, and interactivity through unique musical composition that is singular to every visitor gives this museum a huge impact. If you only have a few hours in Riga, or if you are in the city for a longer visit, this museum is not something to miss!
We decided to take some hire bikes over to visit this museum which made it is fairly quick journey from the old town. The museum is free so a good choice if you are on a budget - and you can make an optional donation. The exhibition is well thought out and very creatively put together. The story is also very interesting and tells an fairly unknown side. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Overall an impressive museum/memorial. Worth a visit.
Interesting and beautifully presented, this is an insightful and interactive exhibit which is off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Staff were fantastic; friendly, passionate about the exhibit and extremely helpful. Would recommend!
