This long-time traditional Hakka restaurant is nicely decorated and on a higher end for this neighborhood. Many choices for appetizers including fried tiny fish with chili, stir fried string bean, and stew fish are great. Stew chicken soup with cabbage, shredded tofu stir fried with beef, very very fried stinky tofu are must try. Reservation is a must on Fridays, weekends and holidays. Call ahead to make sure there are tables for your party. Parkings in front of the restaurant are limited. The only down side is the price. Even with that this place is always packed.
A well decorated restaurant which you don’t expect to see in yong he area. There is a giant fruit tree in the front yard which add a nice and cool touch to the restaurant in the hot summer. The food is a mix of Hakka food and shanghainese food. The popular chicken broth is awesome and requires advance booking. All staffs are nice and friendly when customers are seeking for their help, but as most Chinese restaurant staffs do, they don’t pay enough attention to the customers, thus cannot respond timely. A good place for family gatherings.
