A nice change from the sweet hotteok. There is usually a bit of a wait, but I thought it was worth it. They brushed some sauce on after it was fried...it could use a little more of that. Words of advice - eat carefully...it’s so hot!

My all time best food in Korea. I have to visit this place every year I visit Korea. The pancakes are only 1000won (1.20). There is a minimum wait time of approx 30 minuted if you are lucky. And dont go after 4pm as they run out of pancakes to sell.
I am a Korean and my office is near Namdaemun. I know well those Hotteok stores, actually there are two Hotteak stores. One is good but resently closed the store. now remain one Hotteak store is suck....look at my photo... sugar doesn't melt... its just not once, always do the same mistakes.
My wife almost got a burn on her hands. I asked them for extra paper cup for holding the food but they said that they can't provide it, only one for one customer. lol
Tasty when it's hot but not so good when it gets cold. And one for 1,000 won? it's pricey.
Traditional Korean street food spot - hotteok (kind of staffed pancakes, fried in oil). There one with vegetables and japje noodle, and one with sweet stuffing. Situated at the entrance to the market. There is always a queue, but it moving fast.
